What role does nuclear deterrence play? Does it make us stronger? And what dangers do nuclear weapons systems pose? We will examine these questions and explore how scientific research can help limit the risks and promote sustainable peace in the long term. Given the current geopolitical situation, the question repeatedly arises whether the prospect of nuclear disarmament can be realistic or if it might weaken the security of states.
