Kadri Reis
Kadri Reis among selected fellows

Together with 17 other professionals in the biosecurity, medical, and AI fields, Kadri Reis, researcher at CNTR’s Research Group on Chemical and Biological Weapons Control, participated in the Council on Strategic Risks (CSR)'s Mid-Career Biodefense Bootcamp Fellowship this past July. Through a virtual training module and in-person exchanges with key leaders in the field, the Fellows explored biological risks in depth, approaches to biological threat reduction, and new ideas for enhancing biosecurity. The fellowship is part of CSR's broader effort to prepare the talent pipeline to meet current and future biological weapons threats and to build peer-to-peer networks that help reduce these threats.

At CNTR, Kadri Reis works on biological disarmament, biosecurity, and the security implications of emerging technologies, focusing on how advances in the life sciences affect biological risk, arms control, and the governance of dual-use research. Her work bridges science and policy, contributing to practical approaches for reducing biological risks.
