From 15 September 2023 to 15 May 2024 the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation (VCDNP) and the International Affairs Institute (IAI) runs the Young Women in Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Mentorship Programme, open for female undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students as well as recent graduates. Dr. Una Jakob, Co-Head of CNTR's research grouop “Chemical and Biological Weapons Control”, participates as a mentor in this program, which seeks to engage young women in the field of non-proliferation, arms control and disarmament, and promote awareness around these issues. Successful applicants will be paired with well-known experts. Besides establishing mentoring relationships, the program also facilitates networking and provides career and skills development through seminars, workshops, and other activities.
