Military Conflicts & Emerging Disruptive Technology

Liska Suckau as a guest at Women in International Security WIIS Germany

Liska Suckau was a guest at Women in International Security (WIIS) Germany to give an insight into military conflicts and new technologies. In addition to expectations and promises regarding new technologies and their military effectiveness, the lecture also dealt with the significance of these technologies in armed conflicts and the question of why disruption is a problematic concept from a scientific point of view. Liska Suckau used examples from Ukraine to illustrate how new technologies are used and the consequences of their use. The lecture was followed by a discussion on the challenge of developing effective approaches for the control of new technologies.
