This collection examines the critical role of verification in nuclear nonproliferation, arms control, and disarmament amidst growing global instability and contested information. While some verification regimes have become more resilient, others have struggled amid recent geopolitical tensions and with the spread of misinformation. Bringing together perspectives from technical, political, and social sciences, and taking into account regional perspectives, the contributions explore how verification systems can adapt and improve to support global security in an increasingly complex world.
