Lecture of the TraCe lecture series on “Violence as a global challenge”

The sixth lecture of the TraCe lecture series will be held by Prof. Dr. Dr. Christian Reuter and Dr. Deborah Schnabel on the topic of “Information Warfare and Disinformation in Social Media”. Christian Reuter is a university professor and Dean of the Department of Computer Science at the Technical University of Darmstadt. His Chair of Science and Technology for Peace and Security (PEASEC) combines computer science with peace and security research with a special focus on cyber security and privacy, peace and conflict research and human-computer interaction. He is also Co-head of the research group Emerging Disruptive Technologies at CNTR. Deborah Schnabel is Director of the Anne Frank Educational Centre and holds a doctorate in psychology. She works both practically and academically on issues of intercultural coexistence and digital transformation, particularly in the field of education.

The lecture series “Violence as a Global Challenge” provides an interdisciplinary insight into the current dynamics of political violence. The events take place weekly on Wednesdays from 18:05 to 19:45, mainly in German, in the Kaisersaal of Darmstadt University of Technology's castle. They are streamed live on the TraCe YouTube channel.
